Had an impromptu quick family portrait session when the Syed family came to visit Somerset (minus my aunty). It's been a while since I had seen my cousins so this certainly was a photo opp I could not miss especially on a lovely summer's day!
Created some headshots for Ruby's massage business www.relaxing-remedies.com. It's always great working with other self-employed professionals and getting an insight to their practice. I was pleased with these simple headshots only using natural light from the window, these portraits certainly reflect her massage business and personality!
Photographed my family for a personal project I was creating over the summer called 'A Family's Evolution'. I really enjoyed photographing my family and decided to take a mixture of serious and happy looking images. The cheerful images I shot from the project certainly seemed more natural especially as I am photographing my own family. I would like to take more images like this of happy moments of other families as I enjoy the atmosphere and occasion it creates.
Visited my partner's place over the summer whilst photographing for my family portrait project: 'A Family's Evolution' and asked if I could take a family portrait (minus their daughter who was away at the time). They are always wonderful hosts every time I visit and simply lovely people and am happy I was able to capture this in a photograph. Though typically they don't have their family portrait taken by an external photographer it was a privilege that they let me photograph them for my project and portfolio. Photographing many families for my project in a short space of time I was able to observe how every family is very different however the core values are very similar if not the same. I decided to photograph the Henderson family in their kitchen as they certainly spend most of their bonding time in this room: cooking and eating meals together so it was only fitting to photograph them in this space.
