"Wow wow wow!!!
How wonderful do they look!! Thank you so much, you are a superstar for making us look so good! We are so happy with them and can't wait to share them with everyone this makes us so excited for the big day. We have also been recommending you to friends. Your talent will go far! Thank you so much for these brilliant photos."
Happy to be sharing these gorgeous photos of Grace & James back in July 2016. This was the second Engagement Session I’ve done and it’s definitely been one of my favourites. When I met Grace for the wedding consultation, I knew she was going to photograph amazingly well and come across super natural on camera… and my, these photos make me smile so much! I love their infectious and beautiful chemistry; it’s clear to see they’re meant for each other and love one another so much. Grace had mentioned they weren’t naturals when it came to being photographed… I think it’s safe to say they look awesome in front of the lens. :)

"Thank you so much for a lovely day and a lovely shoot. The pictures came out so wonderful, I am so happy with the pictures. Really looking forward to the wedding."
Leigh-Anne & Tom's Engagement Session was certainly a memorable one, full of lots of laughter and love! When I'd met this down-to-earth and lively couple, I knew they were going to be great to photograph. As they were Bournemouth based, it was lovely being able to capture photos of their home town as this is where they hold many memories. Also, Tom often travels across the world for his job and hearing their stories about being in a long distance relationship was touching. Being in a LDR myself, it's amazing connecting with people who lead similar and different lives. This is why I love being a wedding photographer. :)

"Many thanks for the Sneak Peak photos. They look gorgeous.
We (and our family & friends) really like them.
We both enjoyed the photo session.
You made it so much easier and relaxed. Thank you!"

Happy to be sharing Aniko & John's gorgeous Engagement Session photos from last month with all the vibrant autumn colours and trees. They're getting married 30 September next year and so it was such a lovely idea to photograph their photoshoot this autumn to capture the spirit and colours of their wedding venue, the charming Mount Somerset Hotel, in Taunton. Aniko also told me her favourite season is autumn and I think it's is one of my favourite seasons to photograph Engagements too!

"Had a lovely photo shoot with
Nisha Haq Photography and I'm loving the outcome. <3
The images are absolutely gorgeous.
Amazing job!"
It's been a fantastic and busy summer with weddings and lifestyle sessions with so many gorgeous photos to share with you all. One of my favourite portrait sessions was with this amazing model, Presiyana Pavlova back in June. We had met at a house party and after noticing the obvious, her striking model looks, the fact she also studies at Southampton Solent University. It wasn't long before we arranged an impromptu photo shoot in Southampton to get those creative juices going!

"Thanks for the photos, they look great,
especially the ones where we are being silly."
Excited to document Nicola & John-Paul's wedding this Saturday in Portsmouth Registry Office at Mildam House and in Boxgrove Village Hall near Chichester. They've known each other for over 10 years and it's wonderful to witness their bond and admiration they have for each other. I had the pleasure of photographing their Engagement Session only 2 weeks before their wedding date and I love how down-to-earth, goofy and comfortable in front of the camera they were together. It was Nicola's idea to visit Manor Farm Country Park in Bursledon outside Southampton and what a beautiful vast location it was! The autumn trees and colours with the warm golden light made this session one of my favourites to photograph. Certainly love a Sunday Session. It's amazing knowing there's so many wonderful places to photograph in Hampshire. As much as I love the open landscape and gorgeous romantic photos, its the silly ones that shows they were simply meant to be!
Just by looking at these photos you can tell they're best friends in love.
Eeek can't wait till their wedding tomorrow!

It's a chilly afternoon in October and I find myself looking through my archive of images and wanted to share this lovely summer editorial inspired by African patterns, in particular, stripes. Loved how these fashion portraits came out. Suga (Sarrah Suga Sillah) did an amazing job modelling these trendy pieces all styled and conceptualised by the talented Alexsandra Nwandu who studied Fashion Styling at Southampton Solent University.
Alexsandra's project looked at different ethnic trends and beauty so it was great to collaborate and work on photo shoots that celebrate women and fashion from minority backgrounds and cultures. The majority of the pieces were sourced from H&M, one of my favourite high-street stores. We may be in autumn but you can definitely rock these pieces this season layered up or on a night out in town.

I don't often do last-minute shoots but when Alexsandra approached me with her idea the day before, I knew this was going to be a good one! It's been a jam packed summer this year and I've loved meeting and photographing lots of wonderful people. One of the first photoshoots to kick off the summer was photographing this beautiful woman, Melissa, in June. You may have seen a sneak peak from my 1 year anniversary blog post, where I described Melissa as simply captivating.
We had just met only hours before this impromptu photoshoot when she was invited round for a group meal at my flat where we all helped out to make a delicious roast dinner. It was lovely how Melissa took an interest in my wedding photography and that's when I knew she was a lover of the arts. I felt like a schoolkid who had a crush and was shy asking the other person out. When I've photographed gorgeous women in the past, it's usually come up after a few meetings and conversations and then an arranged photoshoot happens. This time round I felt the time had to be 'now' as Melissa was moving to Berlin the week after and I couldn't be sure I'd see her again.
It was then I plucked up the courage and asked if I could take her portrait. She was pleasantly surprised that someone would want to take her portrait and flattered too. I was worried she might say no as she hadn't prepared for her photo to be taken at a moment's notice! In the spirit of embracing life's spontaneous moments, Melissa kindly agreed and mentioned how she'd love to help out with my photography in any way she could, which was touching. After few minutes brushing her hair and touching up her lipstick we were ready to shoot. I hadn't really thought of where to photograph as I was preparing myself for Melissa to say no, then I saw some green trees and bushes outside my bedroom window and quickly thought 'that could look nice'.
I was actually surprised at myself at how stunning the photographs came out. With no preparation, it's hard to tell whether the nerves might affect the shoot but as it was so casual, it just felt so natural taking photos of Melissa. As soon as I met her I had an instinct Melissa would be a natural at being photographed and here are the gorgeous images as proof...

Thank you!
It was a happy coincidence that my mother and I met up for Mother's Day weekend this year and I'm so glad we spent some quality mother and daughter time in the Somerset Countryside. I treated my lovely mother to a 2 night weekend away at Lord Poulett Arms in Hinton St George and it's so gorgeous here. The locals are so friendly and the Inn is beautifully decorated, it's been a splendid weekend so far and we've still got Mother's Day lunch to go!
Yesterday we decided to visit the magnificent National Trust Montacute House and it was lovely morning seeing all the Tudor portraits and rooms. Here's a little snap from the day. :)
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Mothers Day with their families in the UK!
So this is the first time I’ve looked back and collated my
favourite photos I took over a year, and what a fantastic year 2015 has been!
Reflecting over the wonderful memories I have of the past 12 months, I can
certainly say I feel proud and privileged to do what I do, and meet the amazing
people who make these images come to life. Last year was a rollercoaster, both personally and
professionally. Here are a few key highlights that made 2015:
- In February, being named Finalist for OneEyeland Photography International Awards for my fine art nude photographs.
- April, I saw my partner commissioned in the Royal Navy as a Warfare Officer and couldn’t be more proud.
- In May, after being encouraged by Southampton Solent University to pitch my photography business, received £5,000 grant from Solent LEP under HM Government's Regional Growth Fund.
- June is when I registered my business, took all the scary steps of officially starting my business whilst starting a new day job working as a graphic designer.
- In September I bought my first ever car after passing my test in March and can’t fathom how much freedom this gives me to travel and explore.
- In December, I was invited by Southampton Solent University as a guest speaker and delivered my first business presentation talking about setting up a business and my experiences so far to college students. It was also this month that my partner and I celebrated our 4th anniversary of being together and couldn’t be more elated.
In 2015 I've been lucky enough to photograph
in lots of beautiful places such as Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Devon, Somerset,
Buckinghamshire and of course the beautiful county I live in, Hampshire. I would like to say a huge thank you to every single person
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing and working with on projects. Looking
back over 2015, I certainly feel blessed with what’s been achieved and feeling
confident and happy within.
Beginning 2016, I feel excited for lots more
amazing experiences, friendships, passions and projects to come...

Romantic Hotel Getaway - Buckinghamshire Lifestyle Photography - Waddesdon Manor / Crazy Bear Hotel

Had an amazing time in Buckinghamshire where my parter Rob treated me to an marvellous belated birthday treat in August for an overnight stay in the snazzy and rather unique Crazy Bear Beaconsfield Hotel. Love experiencing quirky new places, this certainly was a hotel break to remember! The décor was extravagant and there was always something to admire (the hotel bathrooms are a trippy experience!) Also this was the first time of staying in a hotel where you can soak in a copper bath with water coming from the ceiling that was in the bedroom?! Having such as wonderful and thoughtful boyfriend, Rob also treated me to a lovely seven course tasting menu in their Thai restaurant. It's not everyday we get to dress up and thought this was a wonderful occasion for sparkles and suits. It's way too often I'm wearing my comfy home clothes, so a floor length gown felt fabulous for the evening.
Happy 4 years hun! x

The day after we explored the Buckinghamshire countryside and it's so pretty! We first went to Beaconsfield's model village which had a sense of Sixties nostalgia. Being 4"11', I certainly felt like a giant for the day which made me happy :). Also I came across a model of fox hunting which was interesting...

Afterwards we visited Waddeson Manor and was so excited that I decided to buy a year's membership with the National Trust! The houses and gardens are so wonderfully kept and every place has a unique character. I've been wanting to visit this magnificent manor for a while especially because of its rich history, being owned by the Rothschild family. We had a tour round the wine cellar and couldn't believe how many wine bottles they had down there! There was also a lovely aviary where Rob snapped some pretty cool pictures of some exotic birds. I think he's a wildlife photographer in the making!

A fun packed 2 days, I'll certainly be visiting Buckinghamshire again and exploring more beautiful historical English locations.
