"Had a lovely photo shoot with

Nisha Haq Photography and I'm loving the outcome. <3

The images are absolutely gorgeous.

Amazing job!"

It's been a fantastic and busy summer with weddings and lifestyle sessions with so many gorgeous photos to share with you all. One of my favourite portrait sessions was with this amazing model, Presiyana Pavlova back in June. We had met at a house party and after noticing the obvious, her striking model looks, the fact she also studies at Southampton Solent University. It wasn't long before we arranged an impromptu photo shoot in Southampton to get those creative juices going!

As the start of Autumn, I thought it would be fitting to post some lovely summery snaps of the rich green leaves and blossoming flowers before the leaves turned red and orange. I love the change in seasons and the colours shifting from pink to green and orange to grey. These photos were taken in the gardened area of the Southampton central city parks. I have walked passed this park many times but hadn't ever stopped to admire the gardens. It was so lucky to have beautiful hot weather and dappled light and photographing a wonderful young woman. The lush greens, white summer dress and Dessy's dark auburn hair was a wonderful palette to work with - so refreshing! Had a great time taking photos of Dessy, and she's such a beauty isn't she? Lovely to meet up with a former colleague and take some relaxing and fun photos in the park. We had discussed taking photos for some time and really happy to finally share the images with you all :)

Ooh on another note - for all those photographers out there... finally got round to buying VCSO film and so happy with my purchase of Lightroom presets! These photos were predominantly edited using Kodak Portra 160- with some tweaks and love the new feel to my images and taking it back to the film days :). What you think of the new look? I certainly feel the colours pop out a bit more.

James & Sophie look so happy together just moments after exchanging their vows. Beautiful ceremony in Holy Trinity Church in a small village, Droynton outskirts of Bath, Somerset. Such an emotionally happy ceremony, hard holding back the tears...

Congratulations to you both!

My partner, Rob and I were invited to wonderful wedding for James and Sophie in Bath this June, and I couldn't help but take lots of photos to document the celebrations! James is my partner's cousin and we attended a get together for James' family and friends the evening before the big day. In a lovely little brewery, The Bath Brew House, there were lots of great drinks and food to go around. The atmosphere was great and it's always lovely meeting up with the family after some time. There was also various competitive games of table football which I had a go at, but it was a lot harder than I thought! Also towards the end of the night there was an obligatory round of port to top it off! Certainly a wonderful evening.

Congratulations James & Sophie!

Excited to finally share these images that I did for 'psychedelic sludge metal' band Husk as promotional images for their upcoming album, 'Upon His Mountain'. Photographed on a rainy day in March in the Quantock Hills, Somerset, it certainly was fun to shoot! Where usually this weather would be a no-no for a photo shoot, it worked perfectly for the earthy aesthetic for Husk, creating rich tones and a moody atmosphere to set the scene. Love going to the Quantocks, beautiful scenery and backdrops. On this particularly muddy day I was glad I'd packed my walking boots! Tom, Charlie, Tim & Kynan were great to work with and their band chemistry certainly showed! They managed to express their serious and contemplative side as well as their fun and silly antics!

After the success of the first Employability & Enterprise Professional photo shoot in January 2015, I had the pleasure of photographing more of the team in the studio. The E&E team loved the first shoot, that I kept the style very similar for this shoot as a continuity of the project. The aim of this shoot was to create a more professional outwards appearance, especially as the Employability and Enterprise team are representing and working with businesses, students, graduates and academics - this shoot was a great way to show off their professionalism and of course their (glamorous) sophisticated style! Many of these images are used as their LinkedIn profile, Facebook, Twitter and other social media profiles as well as internal email address thumbnail. Taken 25 Feb 2015 in Southampton Solent University photo studios.

Lovely team of people, it was a great experience to get back into the studio and photography these beautiful portraits. Also it was an interesting to experience so many different personalities back to back in the space of 2 hours! People's characteristics certainly shine through in front of the camera!

Had the most enjoyable time with my beau, Rob over Easter. Now that he's in the Royal Navy I don't get to see him much. So it was bliss when he was down visiting me in Southampton over Easter. This is one of my favourite spots in Southampton, especially when the sun is setting. Taken on the 6 April 2015 in Palmerston Park. I've been wanting to get some really nice pictures of us as a couple, not just another selfie but a professional one! So it was nice having a day enjoying each other's company walking in the sun. For this set up I used my new Manfrotto BeFree Compact Lightweight Travel Tripod (really loving it - it's so light and small to carry around) and my remote control and voila! Mind you the portraits of me are wonderfully captured by Rob - his photo skills are getting rather impressive! That's 3+ years of dating a photographer!

Looking forward to posting more summery pics soon.

Had a great time on this impromptu shoot photographing my former colleague, Lois. What a beautiful darling she is! Spring sun shining, only 20 minutes to shoot and what great fun and lovely pictures we made in that time! Photographed in Palmerston Park in Southampton, 10th April 2015. I've been wanting to photograph Lois for a while and on her penultimate day at work finally managed to do a shoot together. Hopefully get to work again in the near future. I enjoyed this spontaneous feel to this shoot so much that I'm going to photograph another stunning colleague of mine coming soon...

Yay, summer is coming!

I've been going through my extensive catalogue of many unedited photos and came across these lovely portraits of Shiho Kaneko with make up by Zaynab Bostan. These images were taken on 20 March 2013 during my second year of studying BA Photography at Southampton Solent University. Many of the make up students were creating their final major project images (creative dissertation) and so I worked with talented Zaynab on her 'The Multicultural' project. Her idea was mixing cultures, ethnicities and different make up inspirations on different faces. I really liked her concept and visually exploring multiculturalism through make up and photography. It's been almost 2 years and it's nice going back on old images and refreshing them. I still feel these images are contemporary. I feel Zaynab really worked on bringing out Shiho's beautiful features and making a wonderfully unique look. Certainly fun to work with creative make-up artists and transform the face!

Love doing portraiture so had a great time photographing my colleagues in the Employability & Enterprise team at Southampton Solent University a few weeks ago. Getting back into the studio was a great feeling and creating simple and beautiful portraiture is something I had missed doing. This shoot was prompted by various colleagues who wanted a professional portrait to use on LinkedIn for example and as the employability team in the university, it was good practice we all had up-to-date professional photos. I really enjoyed this shoot as it was a new environment for my colleagues and also to witness me in my element which is portrait photography! I certainly think the grey background in the studio with one source light is one of my favourite set ups.
